Satori Expands OK2Pay to International Payment Verification Across 50+ Countries

This expansion of OK2Pay's payment verification capability addresses a critical and often under-recognised organisational gap in payment control environments - the ability to consistently verify international payments.

A Growing Exposure

Australia processes a substantial volume of cross-border payments each year. AUSTRAC recorded over 232 million international funds transfer instructions in 2024–25, alongside nearly $630 billion in imports of goods and services.

Despite this scale, many organisations still rely on manual verification methods for international payments, including email confirmation, phone calls and fragmented processes across jurisdictions.

This creates a disconnect between:

  • the scale of financial flows and
  • the strength of verification controls

What makes this different

OK2Pay’s international capability does not simply extend payment coverage. It changes how international payments are controlled.

Instead of relying on process discipline and manual checks, organisations can now:

  • Apply consistent verification across jurisdictions
  • Reduce reliance on email and phone-based validation
  • Integrate verification into existing payment workflows
  • Move from reactive detection to preventative control

This aligns international payments with the same verification standard increasingly expected for domestic transactions.

CEO perspective

Gavin Steinberg, CEO of Satori, said:

“For a long time, international payments have sat just outside the core control environment for most organisations. Not because people weren’t aware of the risk, but because verifying those payments consistently has always been difficult.

What we’re seeing now is a shift. The scale of cross-border payments has increased, the speed of transactions has increased and the level of sophistication in fraud and error has increased with it.

The problem is that the control environment hasn’t kept up. Many organisations are still relying on manual checks, fragmented processes and assumptions that were never designed for this level of complexity.

What this capability does is bring international payments back inside a structured, scalable verification model. It removes the reliance on judgement and replaces it with consistency.

At today’s volumes, even a very small failure rate becomes material. This is about closing a gap that most organisations know exists, but haven’t been able to solve in a practical way.”

Looking ahead

With international capability now integrated into OK2Pay, organisations can take a more consistent and defensible approach to payment verification across all jurisdictions.
